The telecommunication provider gnTel, founded in the Netherlands in 2004, is expanding its activities in Germany. For the German subsidiary of the Dutch gnTel B.V. Patrick Schmitz and his team will lead the company as Managing Director Germany. Schmitz has already accumulated industry experience in the IT and telecommunication market over the last eighteen years. He has also worked as Regional Sales Manager at bintec elmeg and Allied Telesis.
The 45 years old economist will primarily be responsible for setting up a nationwide partner network, since gnTel operates exclusively in indirect sales.
Gerhard Top, CEO of gnTel B.V., is sure that Patrick Schmitz through his experience in the distribution market, will drive forward and expand a sustainable market positioning for gnTel in Germany.
gnTel is a telecom operator and provider of Hosted VoIP telephony services and SIP trunks for business customers. The company was founded in Groningen (NL) in 2004 by TNO – a national innovation institute, the University of Groningen and John Ouderling, the Managing Director of KPN Research at that time. In 2008, the company moved to Amsterdam (NL). Today, gnTel has branches in Amsterdam (NL), Delft (NL) and Düsseldorf (DE). gnTel is a tier-one telecom operator with its own redundantly executed and geographically separated platform with several connections to the Internet.
